Ss into the next 2 tr and into the ch-2 sp, (ss, 3ch, 2tr) in next st, miss 3 sts, 3ch, 1tr in the next st.
Work all four of those into one stitch, then skip the next three. Squeezing four into one place and skipping three is what pulls the edge into a scallop.

How much yarn you actually need
Nobody crochets at exactly the tension on the label. Tell it your hook and it works out what that does to the yarn, and to the size of the finished thing.

The pattern says a 4 mm hook and 765 m of yarn.
You crochet with a 4.5 mm. So you need 860 m, and your blanket comes out about 12% bigger.

- Yes, that is the whole idea. Open the PDF the designer sent you and read it here. We do not sell patterns and you do not have to use ours.
- Is it free?
- Reading is free and there is no card. To keep a pattern in your library you log in with your email, so that your patterns and your place in them follow you from your phone to your laptop.
- How do I know if my pattern is UK or US terms?
- The app works it out and says so. It matters because the same words mean different stitches in each: a UK double crochet is a US single crochet. The Key names the system your pattern uses and gives every stitch in it.
- The text is too small for me. Can I make it bigger?
- Yes. Easy-read sets the whole pattern again at a size you choose, in five steps from 15 to 25 pixels, and remembers the size you picked.
- Does it work on a phone?
- It is built for one. The whole thing is meant to be read on a phone, one-handed, with a hook in the other.
- What if a stitch diagram looks wrong?
- Trust the pattern. The drawings are new and still being checked, and every one of them says so in the app. If one looks wrong to you, you are probably right.
- Is this AI?
- No. Every explanation, chart and stitch count in the app is ordinary code following the rules of crochet notation. It reads your pattern's own words and numbers, and where they don't add up it tells you rather than inventing something.
- Can anyone else see the patterns I upload?
- No. Every time a pattern is opened the app checks it is yours first, and the file has no public address — there is no link to it that would work for anybody else. There are no adverts and no trackers on any page, and we do not record which pattern you opened, only that a pattern was opened.
- Is it safe to upload a pattern I paid for?
- Yes. It stays your copy, for you to read: it is never published, shared or sold, and nobody else using the app can open it. Remove it from your library and the file goes with it.
